Who are we?
Welcome to the3dfinder.com the home of all things 3D. The idea of the3dfinder.com is for designers to become brand owners, why give your designs away when you can sell them? To share designs where applicable, either sell or give away product and also utilise your capacity on your machine to produce for others locally, nationally or internationally and generally share info related to 3D printing.
As a maker you may want to sell your designs or become a printer for other people’s designs or do both selling your finished product, thus setting yourself up as a home designer or printer
If you are a Bureau or have printing capabilities you can promote yourself to consumers/businesses
As a scanner you can market your latest product or total range to the world through our site.
We love the industry and hope you find the3Dfinder.com a useful aid in buying, selling and searching out information.

What is 3D printing?
3D printing is a process whereby a 3D design is turned into a real object. First, software is used to slice the 3D design into layers, and then the design is printed layer by layer on a 3D printer. This is a very simplistic view ad there are many more processes that can be used to print things, some good articles include

Because each object is built up uniquely, 3D printing is the choice for people and companies who want to make unique and customized items, or a small series of objects.
The correct technical term for 3D printing is Additive Manufacturing. However, the public almost exclusively uses the term 3D printing.
